Floor heating with Tacker needles and extruded polystyrene.
There are three main types of floor heating with hot water.
Underfloor heating with nuts.
underfloor heating with Tacker Plate
underfloor heating with wire mesh
Floor heating with Tacker needles and extruded polystyrene.
Floor heating with Tacker needles and extruded polystyrene. The Tacker needle and extruded polystyrene needle is used very often and has the following advantages:
- The polystyrene has a higher density than that used on the Tacker boards currently offered by manufacturers.
- Higher thermal resistance.
- Higher density due to high density.
- Reduced cost of minimum 30% compared to the Tacker plate system.
Typically, the underfloor heating system with extruded polystyrene in combination with the wire mesh (Buzau mesh) is used but this system is not recommended because the pipe is in contact with the wire mesh and can be damaged.
The underfloor heating with extruded polystyrene is recommended if using the Tacker plate system instead of the wire mesh (Buzau net). There is no contact between the underfloor heating pipe and metal (wire mesh), the pipe is secured on the insulation with plastic Tecker needles. The risk of damage to the pipe material is eliminated.
